Job Description

Join our Compliance team as the lead for our Swedish gambling compliance. In this high-impact role, you will act as the strategic guardian of one of our primary jurisdictions, driving compliance by design across our product and marketing ecosystems.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary subject matter expert for the Swedish gambling market. Own the end-to-end interpretation and implementation of SGA license obligations to ensure total regulatory alignment.
  • Lead the submission of all periodic and ad-hoc reports to relevant authorities.
  • Act as a dedicated consultant for Customer Experience and Marketing teams. Provide actionable advice on promotional compliance, player interaction strategies, AML and Responsible Gambling (RG).
  • Lead deep-dive investigations and draft high-quality responses for complaints escalated to third-party dispute resolution bodies (e.g. ARN).
  • Conduct formal gap analyses on new regulatory requirements and relevant court decisions.
  • Own the execution of internal and external audits and participate in the maintenance of ISO 27001 standards.
  • Draft and optimise internal policies and Terms & Conditions. Balance legal rigidity with operational efficiency to ensure a seamless but compliant user experience.
  • Design and deliver specialised training sessions for various departments, fostering a proactive, "compliance-first" mindset across the organisation.
  • Provide leadership and serve as a key point of reference for any direct reports, supporting performance, development, and team alignment.
  • Optimise compliance-related processes and procedures, including through leveraging AI.
  • Maintain an independent and proactive attitude, identifying potential risks before they materialise and proposing strategic recommendations to the Director of Compliance.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of iGaming compliance experience with a proven track record of managing the Swedish (SGA) market alongside at least one other Tier-1 jurisdiction.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law or a related field will be considered an asset.
  • Hands-on experience leading license applications, regulatory notifications, renewals, and acting as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies.
  • Demonstrated experience leading external audits and ensuring standards are met.
  • Proven ability to partner with Product and Tech teams to advise on the integration of regulatory requirements into the development lifecycle.
  • Skilled in using Jira, automated reporting tools, and back-office platforms to analyse data and build high-stakes regulatory reports.
  • Exceptional at prioritising complex tasks and driving cross-departmental change in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work autonomously with awareness of when to escalate matters and when tasks could be handled independently.
  • Strong ability to profile risks and benefits to ensure the long-term protection of our licenses.
  • Speak and write fluently in English and Swedish, with the ability to build trust with both internal teams and external authorities.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary + bonus scheme
  • Hybrid working model with flexibility between home and office
  • One-time bonus to help you set up your home workspace (we are truly hybrid)
  • Work remotely for up to 40 days per year from anywhere in the world
  • Private health insurance and a flexible wellbeing allowance for initiatives that support your wellbeing.
  • Complimentary breakfast and lunch on select days, as well as great in-office events happening throughout the week.
  • Fun quarterly team events and social gatherings
